The Production Time

The production time of an item is the lead time from order to delivery.  Streamline treats it as a number.

0 Next day
1 24 hrs after deadline
2 48 hrs and so on

Increasing the Production Time of an Item

Increasing by 1, eg 0 to 1 or 1 to 2:

  1. Go to Production > Snapshots. If mode is set to Automatic, change to Manual
  2. Run ONE snapshot
  3. Go to Master Catalogue and increase the production time of the item in question
  4. Undo ONE snapshot.
  5. If snapshot mode was set to Automatic, put it back and save. The operation is complete.

Increasing by 2, eg 0 to 2 or 1 to 3:

  1. Go to Production > Snapshots. If mode is set to Automatic, change to Manual
  2. Run TWO snapshots
  3. Go to Master Catalogue and increase the production time of the item in question
  4. Undo TWO snapshots
  5. If snapshot mode was set to Automatic, put it back and save. The operation is complete.

Decreasing the Production Time of an Item

Decreasing by 1, eg 1 to 0 or 2 to 1:

  1. Go to Production > Cut & Shape and delete the latest data for the item that is in Production
  2. Go to Master Catalogue and decrease the production time of the item in question by one day.
    The operation is complete.

Decreasing by 2, eg 2 to 0 or 3 to 1:

  1. Go to Production > Cut & Shape and delete the data for the latest two dates that item that is in Production
  2. Go to Master Catalogue and decrease the production time of the item in question by two days.
    The operation is complete.

Eg. We want to decrease the production time of Hamburger Buns from 1 to 0, to make it available for next day delivery. 

There are 20 items in production for Thursday and 30 for Friday. There is no data in production for any future dates. 

You must delete the data for Friday, that is the latest date that there is production data for, as per point 1 above.
